King Khalid University College of Medicine Holds Periodic Meeting for Training Directors, Internship Coordinators, and Supervisors
King Khalid University College of Medicine, represented by the College's Clinical Affairs Agency, held its periodic meeting for training directors, internship coordinators, and supervisors on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, with the participation of representatives from partner training institutions in the region.
The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Professor Dr. Saleh bin Mohammed Al-Qahtani, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine for Clinical Affairs, and attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Qarni, Supervisor of the Internship Office. Participants discussed the results of surveys conducted by training institutions and trainees, and reviewed key opportunities for improvement aimed at enhancing the quality of internship programs and increasing the efficiency of the training process.
The meeting also reviewed the approved internship regulations, the new evaluation model and its implementation mechanism, and discussed several development proposals related to standardizing organizational procedures among training institutions and enhancing awareness of the professional responsibilities of interns.
The meeting included discussions on several recommendations and decisions aimed at developing the training environment and enhancing communication and coordination between training institutions and the Internship Office, thereby contributing to achieving outstanding educational and training outcomes.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants visited His Excellency the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Mohammed Abadi, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of partnership and integration between the college and training institutions in supporting internship training programs. Following this, training institutions, directors, coordinators, and supervisors were honored in recognition of their efforts and contributions to the success of the training process.
