OVERVIEW

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery is a core clinical department dedicated to education, specialized training, community service, and scientific research. In addition to teaching students in the MBBS program, our faculty actively trains postgraduates in the Saudi Board of Orthopaedics residency program under the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).

 

 VISION, MISSION AND GOALS

VISION

Achieving local, regional, and international excellence in the field of orthopaedic and traumatology through leadership in medical education, medical care, and scientific research.

MISSION:

To propagate knowledge about orthopaedics and traumatology and conduct scientific research in relevant areas in accordance with the general mission of College of Medicine and King Khalid University.

GOALS:

  1. Teach students of medicine the core knowledge of Orthopaedics and traumatology with an emphasis on how they can be applied in the real practice of medicine.

  2. Support faculty research activities

  3. Promote regional and international collaborations

  4. Publish research results and participate in scientific conferences
