This course is divided into two parts: General and Special Embryology. General Embryology includes study of the reproductive cycle (the ovarian and uterine cycle), formation of reproductive cells, early embryological formation stage, implantation, discussing some of the clinical manifestation occurring during these periods. Special Embryology includes development of all body systems and gonads, special senses, in addition to most of the congenital anomalies with a brief account of the clinical manifestations of these anomalies.

The course contains the clinical application of biochemistry of the metabolism of carbohydrate, fats, proteins, and the exogenous chemical substances on human body. The Neuroscience course (combined course between the Departments of Anatomy and Physiology) contains essential information on the structure and function of the nervous system. Forensic Medicine

 

 

This course contains the role of the clinician in recognizing and declaration of death, and the differentiation between causes of death, and how it happened (accidental, homicidal, or suicidal), and the time of death from the posthumous changes. It also focuses on the role of the clinician in identifying the living or dead individuals, the nature of different types of injuries, accurate description of injuries to detect its nature, and the time and how it happened to identify the instrument used in its infliction. The curse also contains issues of suffocation, sexual assault, causes of infanticide, the role of the clinician in cases of poisoning, with a summary of most common poisons in his medical career.
