AN OVERVIEW:

The Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine, King Khalid University, was established in the year 1985 [1405H] after four years of the inauguration of the College of Medicine by the Royal Decree No. 3/M/3806 on 19/2/1400H. The Internal Medicine Department is one of the main Clinical departments at the College of Medicine, King Khalid University.

 

VISION, MISSION AND GOALS

VISION: To be a distinguished nationally and internationally recognized department in internal medicine education, patient-centred care, and research, developing competent and ethical physicians who meet global standards and contribute to advancing healthcare in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and beyond 

 

MISSION: In alignment with ETC standards, the Department of Internal Medicine is committed to providing quality medical education, competency-based clinical training, and evidence-based patient care, while promoting professionalism, ethical practice, research, and community engagement to meet the healthcare needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

For over three decades, the Department of Internal Medicine at the College of Medicine, King Khalid University, has been a leader in medical education, patient care, and scientific research.
