AN OVERVIEW
The Pathology Department is one of the principal departments of the College of Medicine, King Khalid University. It teaches diseases to students of the MBBS Program, along with those from shared courses such as BDS and B.Sc. Pharmacology.
The Department offers diagnostic services to patients in the region by conducting histopathological examination of tissues and blood analysis for haematological diseases. It carries out scientific research aimed at understanding the nature of new and established diseases observed in the region and the Kingdom at large.
Department faculty members actively participate in various University events, including student activities, workshops, and scientific conferences. The Department also assists faculty and staff with career development and helps patients receive diagnostic services.
The Electron Microscope Unit supports the precise diagnosis through the examination of ultrastructural details of cells and tissues.
