Welcome to the Department of Child Health in the College of Medicine at King Khalid University. The department is dedicated to excellence in teaching and innovative medical research. Its courses cover normal growth and development, history-taking and physical examination in children, the diagnosis and management of common childhood diseases across neonatal, infant, preschool and school-age groups, and the basics of pediatric critical care.
Our faculty provide general pediatric and subspecialty care for thousands of sick children in the southwestern region of Saudi Arabia.
The department is committed to advancing medical knowledge through high-quality research to improve the health of children in Asir and throughout the world.

The Department of Child Health offers two major clinical courses for the MBBS program of the College of Medicine, together with courses in Applied Molecular Medicine, Basic Clinical Skills and Medical Ethics.
